With so many truths and different opinions, it can be difficult to find your own in the midst of them all. So, it’s time to take a little break from social media and tune in with yourself and your emotions.

Remember, we all have unique perceptions of life, ourselves, and others, once you stop getting caught up in someone else’s viewpoint of what self-love or beauty means to them – your self-love journey can truly begin.


The key to fully transforming your mindset towards self-love is accepting the truest version of yourself and cherishing it.

The most challenging and difficult part of the transformation is dealing with limiting beliefs, negative self-sabotaging habits, and past negative experiences. So, you must solve the things that are holding you back from loving yourself so that you can move forward and become the best version of yourself.

Once you start to find ways to positively deal with these obstacles – your life and perception of yourself will improve!

This is how to do it

  1. 1.   Dive deep and discover the reason for negative thinking/mindset

Start asking yourself questions like:

  • How do I feel about myself and why?
  • What impacts how I feel towards myself and my life the most?
  • What is the biggest influence in my life?

Once you discover what holds you back from self-love, it’s time for the next step.

  • 2.   Find positive ways how to deal with negative thinking/mindset

If you have no idea where to start, asking yourself these questions might help:

  • What makes me genuinely happy?
  • If I could do anything I want, what would it be?
  • What are the things that make me smile?

Now that you have discovered what might positively help you to deal with it, the last but not least is to

  • 3.   Take action

Start trying more things that can potentially improve your mindset and wellbeing. Have fun trying new things and spend less time setting expectations.

Setting high expectations about your journey can cause you stress and anxiety if they are not being reached, try to look at this experience as something magical. Loving yourself in a world full of beauty standards and opinions is not easy. Try not to be too hard on yourself and please remember,

One of the most powerful mindset shifts to change the way you treat yourself is to start Treating Yourself the same way you would to someone you deeply love.
